The rise in digital skimming alone has driven the creation of new requirements, most notably V4.0 of the Payment Card Industry (PCI) Data Security Standard (DSS), which includes 64 new requirements for organizations seeking compliance. To prevent credit card fraud and skimming attacks, merchants must comply with two of these requirements (6.4.3 and 11.6.1).
