Jscrambler, the pioneering platform for client-side protection, today announced that it has been named a Hot Company for Client-Side Protection by Cyber Defense Magazine (CDM), the industry’s leading electronic information security magazine. Jscrambler will showcase its award-winning technology at booth #4404 at this week’s RSA Conference.

More than 98 percent of websites worldwide are utilizing JavaScript as their go-to client-side coding language. JavaScript makes it easy to deploy, test, and integrate third-party solutions but introduces significant vulnerabilities to companies–the average web page has more than 60 third-party scripts that are unmonitored and have uncontrolled access to forms and data anywhere on the page. This exposes the company to pixel data exfiltration, account takeovers, PII (Personally Identifiable Information) harvesting, and an array of new attacks, including formjacking, Magecart, phishing, web supply chain, and digital skimming.

The Digital Skimming Rise

The rise in digital skimming alone has driven the creation of new requirements, most notably V4.0 of the Payment Card Industry (PCI) Data Security Standard (DSS), which includes 64 new requirements for organizations seeking compliance. To prevent credit card fraud and skimming attacks, merchants must comply with two of these requirements (6.4.3 and 11.6.1).

Jscrambler is the first company to merge advanced polymorphic JavaScript obfuscation with fine-grained third-party tag protection in a unified client-side protection and compliance platform. This platform helps companies comply with key PCI DSS v4 requirements while providing businesses with a robust defense against a more extensive set of current and emerging client-side cyber threats, data leaks, misconfigurations, and IP theft. In doing so, Jscrambler empowers software development and digital teams to innovate securely online with JavaScript.

“We are honored to be a 2024 Global InfoSec award recipient. This award underscores the complexities associated with JavaScript usage and the efficacy of client-side protection technologies in addressing these challenges,” said Rui Ribeiro, CEO of Jscrambler. “As digital third-party solutions amp up their use of AI to hyper-personalize user experiences, the need to protect vital data while continuing to securely innovate online will grow dramatically. At this week’s RSA Conference, we are excited to demonstrate why dedicated client-side protection technologies hold the key.”

“Jscrambler embodies three major features we judges look for to select winners: understanding tomorrow’s threats today, providing a cost-effective solution, and innovating in unexpected ways that can help mitigate cyber risk and get one step ahead of the next breach,” said Gary S. Miliefsky, Publisher of Cyber Defense Magazine.

Jscrambler executives will be on-site at this week’s RSA Conference. Located in Booth #4404,  they will demonstrate the company’s new Free Automated Payment Page Analysis Report that helps merchants prepare for PCI DSS requirements 6.4.3 and 11.6.1. Merchants and E-Commerce companies that visit the booth and provide their URLs will receive a payment page analysis report. Companies not attending RSA can also receive a free analysis by filling out this form.
